Did you know ?
B31.3 permits theoretical expansion stresses to approach twice the yield stress in piping with low number of thermal cycles.

Prior to releasing each build of Salad we put it through a series of tests in order to determine proper functioning of the software.

The testing described on this page was conducted using Salad v1.20 Build 100725.  (The software build can be found on the 'About' screen under 'Help -> About').  All test files and output can be downloaded in the zipped file below.

The QA files consist of the following -

  • Tests With a Known Stress Model

A series of test Salad scripts were made to operate on the ASME B31.3 (2004) Appendix S pipe stress models (S_1_SI, S_1_US) available from COADE here.  The scripts test Salad's data variables and functions (not including functions which are native to revTalk, the underlying language used in Salad scripts).

  • Test of Proper Functioning of Nested Repeat Loops
  • Test of Nested If Statements

We treat the Quality of the software as Top Priority.  We invite you to conduct your own tests and hope that you will be suitably pleased.  If you believe you have found a bug then please let us know - the Feedback menu within the program includes a bug reporting form.
